Our North Bergen Pastoral Academy dedicates this space with deep respect and gratitude in honor of Pastor and Teacher Albert N. Martin, recognizing in him a living example of faithfulness to the Lord, love for His Word, and tireless dedication to the work of the gospel.
For nearly fifty years of pastoral ministry, Pastor Martin has been a worldwide reference in biblical preaching and in the training of Christian leaders.
His service was primarily carried out at Trinity Baptist Church in Montville, New Jersey, where he pastored with dedication, guiding his congregation with paternal love, doctrinal firmness, and a constant reliance on the Holy Spirit.
His ministry was distinguished by an unwavering commitment to sound doctrine and a life marked by prayer and practical obedience to the Scriptures. He was not only a passionate preacher but also a wise counselor and a spiritual mentor to countless pastors and leaders who today testify to the influence of his teaching and example.
“We must do what is biblical and leave the consequences in God’s hands.” Albert N Martin
Pastor Martin’s impact has also extended through his writings, which have been translated and published in various languages, including Spanish. Among his best-known works are:
These books reflect not only his deep understanding of Scripture but also his pastoral heart and his ability to apply God’s truth to the practical realities of Christian life.
Pastor Martin’s testimony goes beyond pulpits and books. His personal life has been an example of consecration to the Lord and sacrificial service to His people. As a husband, father, and grandfather, he has demonstrated the value of living with integrity, dedication, and love, serving as a model for Christian families and for ministers who seek to honor God in their own homes.
His ministry has always been accompanied by his wife, Dorothy, with whom he has shared joys, challenges, and a mutual commitment to the work of the gospel. Together they have set an example of marital faithfulness and collaboration in Christian service, demonstrating the beauty of a Christ-centered marriage.
Today, although formally retired from the pastorate, Pastor Martin continues to be a prophetic and pastoral voice for the church.
His legacy is not merely a collection of books, lectures, or recorded sermons, but the real impact he has had on the lives of thousands of believers and pastors around the world.
His message remains clear and relevant: “Preach as a dying man to the dying”, reminding us of the urgency of proclaiming the gospel with passion, faithfulness, and reverence before the living God.
As an academy, we recognize Pastor Albert N. Martin as an instrument chosen by God to build up His church. We are honored to dedicate this section in memory of his life and ministry, as a lasting inspiration for those preparing to serve the Lord with faithfulness, courage, and love for the truth.
May the new generations of students, upon seeing his example, be inspired to live with the same holy zeal, the same spiritual discipline, and the same confidence in the power of the gospel that characterized Pastor Martin.
